That's why a dedicated GPS unit is better in a number of ways. However the connectivity of a phone makes it more convenient. The HTC range apparently have a GPS issue that is fixable with an update. Certainly battery life is a big issue and I often revert to my old Nokia 5800 which runs the Trimble Geocaching app - works well with geocaching.com's website and database and runs the battery down more slowly!
